Cannabis Oil Packaging And Child Safety

Many people were very concerned when the first wind of legalization started to blow. Social, cultural, and economic concerns about legal weed were voiced and considered when writing specific bills. These concerns were taken into account when writing particular statements. Child Safety was, and still is, the essential thing to think about.

Rules/Regulations' BreakDown

The kids' toys market is changing quickly to keep up with the competition. This means that more and more devices and cannabis oil packaging methods make things more appealing to both kids and parents. We've all been in a situation where a child gets a gift in a box but ignores the contribution itself.
Because of this, the job of people in the cannabis oil industry is to make child-resistant cannabis oil packaging , no matter what the package holds (flower, concentrates, edibles, vaping tools, etc.). In our last blog, we talked about new ways to package cannabis. Let's now talk about the present and future of cannabis oil packaging and child safety.
New rules were put in place by the state of Colorado in October. They were meant to make "marijuana packaging safer for adults and less appealing to children," as the state put it. On October 1, all medical and retail marijuana must show the correct "THC" symbol on the front of the package. This symbol must be the same for everyone. The statement "Contains Marijuana" is right next to the logo. There must be a sign that says, "Kids can't reach."
It now has to be marked with the universal symbol on every single serving of recreational marijuana. If it can't be kept, like powders, it has to come in a single-serving, childproof box or bag. If the package has more than one serving, each must be marked with the same symbol. In the case of medical marijuana, each edible marijuana-infused product must be stamped or marked with the universal sign. Individual medical marijuana distributors can set standard portions, but they must also be stamped or marked, as well.
One of the most important new rules is that no cannabis oil packaging can use the words "ca ndy" or "candies" unless they are in the company's name. This is one of the most significant changes. Every piece of the cannabis oil packaging must show the correct portion and content information, be straightforward to read, and not make any health or physical benefit claims.

With so much new technology going on in the United States and around the world, it's not surprising that we see many different things. When it comes to child safety, are all the extra cannabis oil packaging styles good at it? The only way to be sure is to go with brands that have been tried and trusted.
